Guarnaschelli battled Cat Cora on Food Network's Iron Chef America 2007 Farmers Market Battle. Since then, she has been a judge of the program. She also competed for The Next Iron Chef in Season 4 of the show in 2011. In addition, she competed with the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast episode and lost the event. Following the conclusion of season 4, she became Geoffrey Zakarian's sous-chef. In 2008 she became the host of Food Network's The Cooking Loft with Alex Guarnaschelli where she mentors an intimate group of students teaching them how to reinvent classic dishes.
